Lance + Summer

Lance is going to Camp Chai summer camp.  He is outside most of the day playing and singing.  He is swimming two times a day, once for lessons (scary) and once for free swim.  He get to choose his own electives which include Legos, board games, arts and crafts, or ultimate Frisbee.  He loves it.

All of this hot summer fun does play tricks with his blood sugar though.  We have had to reduce his morning insulin and slightly increase his carb intake at breakfast to keep from getting low.  Lance is good now at recognizing his lows and getting treated when he feels bad.  We are optimizing his regimen to keep him from having to miss out on any of the fun.  And thanks to Tara, the camp assistance director who administers his shots, Lance has been safe and in good hands.
